What is a Diecutting Symposium?

The Britannica-Webster Dictionary defines a symposium as a formal meeting at which several speakers deliver addresses on related topics.  The Die Cutting Symposium Educational Conference and Exhibition is a three day technical program that will present 18 seminar sessions on topics of interest in many areas of the die cutting process plus die making, embossing and foil stamping. Delegates also have the opportunity to visit the Industry Resource Hall where many leading industry vendor companies will be presenting information on their products and services.

The Die Cutting Symposium is a focused program that addresses the needs and expectations of all areas of the die cutting process. Delegates will have a special opportunity to obtain information and resources that just is not easily available even in large industry trade shows or other industry events.

Converting Manufacturers
The perfect opportunity for converters who produce products involved in packaging, automotive, gaskets, medical, electronic, luggage, apparel, footwear plus many other products to seek out solutions to improve their die cutting manufacturing process that can aid in improving their competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Die makers
Companies that produce die cutting tooling, embossing or foil stamping tooling for companies in the converting process will have the opportunity to show and discuss their products and services to individuals who use their products. Die makers will also see the latest equipment, materials, software and ideas to produce the finest tooling to best serve their customer’s requirements.

Industry Suppliers
Companies providing equipment and materials such as die cutting, embossing & foil stamping presses, cutting surfaces, automatic die making equipment, die steels, CAD/CAM etc. will have opportunities to meet with a very focused group of converters and die makers who have come together in one location to discover solutions to manufacturing and converting problems. In previous Die Cutting Symposium programs, many supplier companies commented that they made more positive contacts with present and potential customers in our focused program than at many major industry trade exhibitions.

Background

The concept of presenting the Die Cutting Symposium started with the first Die Cutting Symposium program in Kansas City in the USA in 1988. The program has been held in England, Germany, Switzerland and Japan as well in many cities in North America. Over the years, many people look forward to the presentation of the program to provide delegates an exceptional opportunity to learn the latest information in our industry, network with industry people and learn the latest tricks of the trade in many of the seminar sessions. In 2005, the program will be presented for the first time in China.
